Nic Moore for the record
Moore tied a career-high with 28 points against Houston and knocked down eight 3-pointers, tying a program record for threes in a game (Bryan Hopkins, 2004). Brown didn't even realize, but after the game said he would've had his chance to set the record if it was a much closer game.
"If it was a close game, he would've been in," he said. "I'm not too concerned about it, he'll have his chances. We got to award minutes to the other bench guys."
"I knew he was making shots, it was impressive."
Ben Moore Gets Better
Coach Brown believes that the sophomore guard has been getting better from a year ago and it doesn't take a "rocket scientist" to see it.
“If you just look at what Ben has done, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that he's been much better."
Moore scored just six points against Houston, but grabbed 10 rebounds. He came in averaging 8.4 points and 5.6 boards in 26.4 minutes - all up from a season ago (6.2, 3.6, 14.8).
